Lebanese delegation to explore investment opportunities in Volta Region at ‘Experience Volta’ Festival

The Volta Region is set to receive a major economic boost as a high-powered Lebanese business delegation prepares to engage local industry leaders at the “Experience Volta in Accra Festival.”

The Special Business and Investment Exchange Session, a key component of the festival, is expected to reposition the region as a prime destination for foreign investment and deepen Ghana–Lebanon commercial cooperation.

The session is being organised in partnership with Mr Mohamad Baalbaky, Chargé d’Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Ghana, and the Volta Development Forum (VDF).

Festival organisers had confirmed that Mr Baalbaky would join the delegation as a Special Guest at the Durbar of Chiefs before proceeding to the high-level investment engagement.

According to Mr Daniel Dzegede, Executive Director of VDF, the presence of the Lebanese business community signaled a turning point for the region’s development agenda.

“This is a unique opportunity. We are not just celebrating culture; we are building long-term business bridges that can transform livelihoods, business, and many more in Voltaland.”

He emphasised that the exchange session would unlock targeted partnerships across agribusiness, tourism, real estate, manufacturing, energy, and value-added processing sectors, where Lebanese investors had shown longstanding global competitiveness.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency, Mr Festus Ashong, Director of Operations at Ewevi Multimedia, organisers of the Festival, said the Business and Investment Exchange Session would be held after the durbar.

“Later in the evening, during the Experience Volta Concert, the VIP lounge will convert into a relaxed networking hub, giving Lebanese executives and Volta entrepreneurs additional room to deepen conversations and initiate potential agreements,” Mr Ashong said.

Mr Eric Seyram Agbolosoo, Chief Executive Officer of Ewevi Multimedia, highlighted the festival’s dual role as both a cultural celebration and an engine for economic diplomacy.

“Beyond the culture, food, and entertainment, Experience Volta is a gateway for business. We have designed moments and spaces where meaningful partnerships and investments can begin.”

The Lebanese delegation’s engagement is widely expected to open new pathways for capital inflows into the region, with Lebanese investors already known for their footprints in commerce, construction, manufacturing, and agro-processing across West Africa, their direct interface with Volta stakeholders could catalyse economic growth.

The initiative is expected to deepen bonds between Ghana and the Lebanese business community, paving the way for long-term cooperation that could significantly enhance employment, export potential, and industrial growth in the Volta Region.

The Experience Volta in Accra Festival takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, featuring a vibrant cultural display and a star-studded concert, now bolstered by its newfound role as a catalyst for regional investment transformation.
