Founder of the RNAQ Foundation, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has encouraged young entrepreneurs to collaborate with others and build strong teams in order to achieve sustainable business success.

Speaking at the 2026 International Youth Empowerment Summit (IYES) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), he said teamwork and shared expertise are critical for business growth.

“Don’t be greedy at all. Learn to win with others,” he told participants.

According to him, entrepreneurs should deliberately surround themselves with people who possess skills different from theirs.

“Select people who have talents that are opposite to yours or different from yours. You come together and build something meaningful,” he said.

Mr Quaye explained that in some partnerships, individuals contribute capital while others contribute skills or ideas, creating a balanced team capable of growing a successful business.

“Sometimes you bring money, somebody also brings money, another person brings money, then another person brings talent, another person also brings talent. You form a team to invest in and own a business,” he said.

He noted that collaboration also helps businesses avoid costly mistakes because partners can challenge and evaluate decisions before they are implemented.

“As human beings, we are fallible. We make mistakes and bad decisions sometimes,” he said.

“But when you own a business with others, the decisions you want to take must pass through your colleagues. They will help identify weaknesses and sometimes stop bad decisions before they happen.”

He further stated that true success is not measured solely by personal achievements but by the ability to uplift others.

“The true success of a man is not measured by what he accomplishes for himself alone,” he said.

“Success is measured by how many people you are able to impact and how many others you help to win.”

Mr Quaye encouraged young people to prioritise mentorship, teamwork and shared opportunities as a way of creating wealth while empowering others.
