The much-anticipated LCB Corporate Games 2025 officially kicked off on Saturday, 2 August 2025, at the Nii Adjei Krakue II Sports Complex in Tema New Town, heralding the fourth edition of this flagship corporate football tournament.

Organised by LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, a crisis management solutions company, the tournament continues to unite professionals from across sectors under the theme of teamwork, networking, and healthy competition.
This year’s edition features 16 teams split across two zones – Tema and Accra – with eight corporate teams representing each zone.
In the Tema zone, notable participants include Wilmar Africa Ghana Ltd, Dock Labour Company, and the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) Fire Department – the defending Tema champions.
On the Accra side, competitors include LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Aviance, among others.
The tournament will span 10 weeks, culminating in a grand finale where the champion will walk away with GH₵20,000 and a trophy.
Additional cash prizes include:
- 1st Runner-Up: GH₵10,000
- 2nd Runner-Up: GH₵5,000
Individual awards include the Best Goalkeeper and Top Scorer prizes.
The opening game saw LCB Worldwide Ghana clash with GIFF in a thrilling contest that set the tone for the weeks ahead. Spectators were treated to a series of exhilarating performances as teams fielded their best players to the delight of fans, who cheered from the first whistle to the final seconds.
According to LCB Worldwide Ghana, the primary goal of the Corporate Games is to promote camaraderie, teamwork, cooperation, and industry-wide collaboration. The tournament also provides an ideal networking platform, allowing company leaders and professionals to connect in a relaxed, engaging environment, fostering potential business partnerships and cross-sector relationships.
Participating companies also leveraged the event to enhance brand visibility, demonstrate commitment to a healthy workplace culture, and showcase community engagement initiatives.
Additional highlights included team-building activities, which fostered unity and strengthened internal bonds among staff. The games also featured awards and recognitions, making it a must-attend event on the corporate calendar.

LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, the event organiser, is a key player in Ghana’s public health and safety sector. Contracted by the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service, the company oversees the disinfection of import and export cargo at ports and other entry points across the country.
During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, LCB played a crucial role in Ghana’s pandemic response, leading disinfection efforts across markets, schools, and hospitals. The company also continues to support secondary schools through free disinfection services to combat bedbug infestations.

Additionally, LCB has worked alongside organisations like GUTA to sanitise public spaces and prevent disease outbreaks, further cementing its role in enhancing public health infrastructure.
As the tournament progresses, all eyes are on the GPHA Fire Department to see if they can defend their title or whether a new contender will rise to claim this year’s corporate football crown. One thing is certain: the LCB Corporate Games 2025 promises thrilling competition, deeper connections, and lasting impact on the corporate sports landscape.
