National Association Of Law Students, petitions the office of the president to intervene in the mass failure of it’s members.
The association embarked on a demonstration to the President’s office to seek justice for its candidates who failed the entrance exams of the Ghana School of Law.
According to the candidates, the pass mark for the exams had always been a 50% mark in both sections.
The candidates say the new scheme is an afterthought introduced by the GLC to deny them admission
The 2021 Law school entrance exams had only 790 representing 28% out of the total 2,824 candidates passing the exams according to results released by the GLC.
“499 bright, talented and hardworking law students whose only crime is to seek professional legal education have as a result of this arbitrary and capricious exercise of discretionary power been unjustifiably denied admission to the school’s professional law course,” a press release stated.
