The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kpandai Constituency has expressed outrage and disappointment over the Tamale High Court’s decision to nullify the 2024 Kpandai parliamentary election results.
Addressing a press conference, the party’s supporters described the ruling as “deeply troubling” and “regrettable,” claiming it amounted to a miscarriage of justice.
They vowed to appeal the decision and urged their supporters to remain steadfast.
“The ruling handed down by the Tamale High Court judge in the case between Nsala and Hon. Matthew is not only deeply troubling but also deeply regrettable.

“Although we accept the ruling, we are compelled to express our profound disappointment and describe it as a miscarriage of justice,” Youth Organiser Joseph Kinyoban Ladur, who read the statement, said.
He alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Mr Nsala, orchestrated the violence and destruction at the Constituency collation centre, and questioned the court’s decision to order a rerun of the entire constituency.
“It is worth noting that if not for the destruction orchestrated by our opponents at the Constituency collation centre, we wouldn’t have been here. This is evident in the video that captured them in the campaign vehicle of Hon. Nsala that conveyed them to the collation centre,” he claimed.
The Youth Organiser questioned why a rerun of the entire constituency was necessary when only 41 polling stations were disputed, and why a re-collation of those 41 polling stations could not have been done instead.

He warned that any bloodshed or violence resulting from the rerun would be the responsibility of the NDC’s Nsala and his allies.
He, however, expressed confidence in their candidate, Mr Matthew Nyindam, and vowed that they would protect the votes cast by the people of Kpandai.
“We are utterly convinced that the people of Kpandai have witnessed firsthand the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment of our leader, Hon. Matthew Nyindam, to the development of our constituency. They will not be swayed by empty promises or deceitful rhetoric,” the party said.
The NPP further urged all stakeholders to condemn the actions attributed to Mr Nsala and to respect the will of the people of Kpandai.
