For the second consecutive year, musician Kofi Kinaata has cancelled his end-of-year music concert, ‘Made in Taadi.’

In a press release shared on his social media platforms, the musician’s management noted that they faced challenges in securing a venue for the well-attended event.

“The primary challenge has been finding a suitable venue for the event after Jubilee Park and Takoradi Technical University Park became inaccessible,” read parts of the statement.

Kofi Kinaata’s management added that they made efforts to secure another venue; however, they were unable to find one that would not compromise the safety of patrons and the quality of the event.

“We want to assure our fans that management is actively working on solutions to overcome this setback in the future. On a brighter note, we are thrilled to announce that Kofi Kinaata will be releasing a new song in a few days,” they added.

The management also noted that despite being unable to host his own concert, Kofi Kinaata fans should anticipate many performances from him, as he has been booked for several shows during the festive season.

“Even though the ‘Made in Taadi Concert’ will not take place this year, Sekondi-Takoradi remains the Christmas destination in Ghana. We encourage everyone to look out for equally interesting events in the Oil City this Christmas season. We appreciate your understanding and truly value your continued support. Merry Christmas in advance, and may the new year bring into reality our dreams and aspirations.”

This is not the first time ‘Made in Taadi’ has faced a setback. Kofi Kinaata first cancelled the annual music show in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2022, the singer and his management called off the show, citing circumstances beyond their control.
