“As the business environment is changing, we need to train students who have the mindset to think outside the box. Right now technology is driving it, there is a need to incorporate technology into our training.

“We are not lying back. We want to go with the pace of the time and introduce the necessary changes to make our students more employable,” stated Prof. Agyapong.

The KSB anniversary launch attracted distinguished academic figures, industry leaders, alumni and students, who gathered to commemorate the remarkable achievements of the institution.

Some of the school’s notable alumni, many of whom have risen to prominence in the fields of banking, finance, management, and entrepreneurship addressed the gathering.

Among them was the Special Guest, Patrick Kwasi Appiah, CEO of Osons Chemist Limited, a prominent chemist, law practitioner and business executive, who shared his journey and the impact KNUST School of Business has had on his career.

He encouraged students of KSB to be critical thinkers to thrive in the business world.

“We must be critical thinkers, thinking beyond the normal traditional way of doing business. It is no more looking at the negatives, it’s making the best out of the negatives, looking at the situations of the time and creating the best solutions out of it. That is how businesses are now unfolding,” he said.

Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Michael Akwasi Aidoo, who is an alumnus of KSB, commended the school for its ability to train, equip and readily expose them to the ever-evolving business landscape.

“KSB is one of the best schools in Ghana and is still growing. The school has really shaped lots of people including myself. All the lessons that we learnt in school are what shape us to become the best. They teach to learn things that propel you into industry. The institution is doing great and everyone who attended here is proud to be an alumni of KSB,” he said.
