  • Established an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory at Tema Manhean Anglican School, offering students modern digital learning opportunities.
  • Launched the Karpowership Scholarship Scheme to support brilliant but financially disadvantaged engineering students at Takoradi Technical University, ensuring they can complete their studies and contribute to Ghana’s energy sector.

  • The Girl Power Programme provides mentorship for young girls, encouraging them to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
  • The Women in Energy Initiative: In partnership with the World Bank, Karpowership has introduced an internship program designed to increase female participation in the energy sector.
  • Women Entrepreneurship Support Programme: Karpowership has trained women entrepreneurs and provided seed capital to help them grow their businesses, fostering financial independence.

Supporting Fishing Communities: Sustainable Livelihoods for Fisherfolk

Recognizing the importance of Ghana’s fishing industry, Karpowership has implemented programs to support and empower fisherfolk in Tema and Takoradi:

  • Over 500 fishermen and fishmongers have benefited from empowerment initiatives aimed at improving their livelihoods.
  • Provision of insulated fish storage boxes and fishing nets to enhance the efficiency of their operations.
  • Collaboration with the Fisheries Commission to organize sensitization programs on best fishing practices and sustainable fishing methods.
  • Construction of a Premix Fuel Shed in Takoradi, ensuring easy access to fuel for fisherfolk, particularly during the festive season.

Karpowership extends its support beyond education and livelihoods by giving back to the less privileged through various donation initiatives:

  • Ramadan Donations: The company provides essential food items and supplies to Muslim communities during the holy month of Ramadan, supporting families in need.
  • Christmas Donations to Children’s Homes: During the festive season, Karpowership donates food items, and other essentials to orphanages and children’s homes, bringing joy and relief to the underprivileged.
