According to the gaffer, the long-growing list of injuries to his players has taken a toll on his preparations.
Kotoko are currently facing several injury crisis with about ten key players unavailable, including Emmanuel Antwi, Henry Ansu, Walid Fuseini, and Andrews Ntim.
Looking ahead to their next league fixture against Young Apostles, Zito said, “What I am going through at the club is not easy. If you don’t have mental toughness, you can’t [cope].
“Everyday of the week some players will get injured.”
Zito also disclosed that forward Dauda Saaka, despite not being fully fit, was forced into action due to limited options.
“I had to force Dauda Saaka to play. I have to use what I have to get what I want, though we couldn’t achieve our target,” he added.
Despite setbacks with injuries, Kotoko still remains the only unbeaten team in the league so far this season, but Coach Zito’s expressed that the constant setback complicates his plans.
