Jupay Money Transfer has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting STEM education in Ghana by returning as a sponsor of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) — Ghana’s most prestigious academic competition.
The company will once again headline the popular “True or False Round”, officially named the Jupay Money Transfer True or False Round, as part of its broader effort to champion Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning and youth innovation.
In a statement, Jupay Money Transfer said its continued partnership with the NSMQ reflects its belief that “STEM education is the heartbeat of innovation and the key to Africa’s future.”
“We’re investing in the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem solvers who participate in the NSMQ each year,” the company stated.
Beyond the competition, Jupay is extending its impact by connecting global alumni with their former schools through a unique remittance-for-development initiative. Under this programme, alumni in the USA, UK, or Canada who send money home to Ghana using Jupay Money Transfer — and include their school’s promo code — trigger a $20 donation from Jupay to their alma mater.
The funds support school improvement projects such as science lab upgrades, library enhancements, and classroom renovations, directly benefiting students and their learning environments.
Last year, the initiative saw strong participation from old students who rallied behind their schools, helping raise funds that transformed educational facilities across the country. Among the beneficiaries were Osei Tutu Senior High School, Accra Academy, St. Peter’s Senior High School, Wesley Girls’ High School, Mfantsipim School, Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College, Keta SHTS, Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS, Adisadel College, St. Augustine’s College, and Ghana National College.
According to Jupay, the programme underscores the power of alumni engagement and community-driven development.
“Alumni came out in impressive numbers to support their schools. We were proud to visit and witness firsthand the impact of collective support,” the company noted.
This year, Jupay is calling on all alumni globally to join the initiative and make every transfer count.
“Let’s celebrate education, empower STEM learning, and drive development, one transfer at a time,” the company said.
