President John Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has reflected on his first Christmas since returning to office, expressing deep gratitude for the trust Ghanaians have placed in his leadership.

As he prepares to embark on the next phase of his presidency, President Mahama outlined his government’s vision for the future, stressing unity, hope, and resilience as the keys to Ghana’s recovery and growth.

“This is my first Christmas with you, as your come-back President, and I am filled with gratitude for the trust you have placed in my government,” Mahama.

At the core of Mahama’s Christmas message was his government’s #ResettingGhana agenda.

The President outlined the urgent need to address the nation’s economic challenges and create opportunities for all citizens, ensuring that every Ghanaian has a stake in the country’s future.

Mahama has prioritised the #ResettingGhana agenda, a comprehensive plan designed to revive the country’s economy and address the long-standing issues of unemployment, infrastructure gaps, and systemic inefficiencies.

“We are committed to the #ResettingGhana Agenda to position Ghana on a path of inclusive growth, job creation, accountability, and prosperity,” Mahama declared.

He stressed that rebuilding the economy will require collective effort and that Ghanaians must unite in the common cause of national development.

The President further emphasised his administration’s commitment to completing stalled infrastructure projects that were left unfinished during previous governments.

These projects, ranging from road networks and energy infrastructure to hospitals and schools, are seen as critical to ensuring that Ghana’s development is both equitable and sustainable.

“We will work, together, tirelessly to revive our economy, complete stalled projects, expand our infrastructure, and build a Ghana that works for every citizen,” Mahama affirmed.

As the nation celebrates Christmas, Mahama urged Ghanaians to draw inspiration from the hope and joy that the season brings.

“Christmas is a time of reflection, of togetherness, and of renewal,” he said. “Let us, in this season, remember that despite the challenges we face, we can always find strength in each other and in the hope that a better tomorrow is possible.”

He stressed the importance of unity and collective effort in achieving the goals of the #ResettingGhana agenda.

“Let us draw inspiration from the hope that Christmas brings,” Mahama added, encouraging Ghanaians to come together, work hard, and believe in the promise of a brighter future.
