'It’s always the woman who starts it' - Rev. Abbeam’s explosive take on Joy Prime’s Let’s Talk

A heated storm erupted on Joy Prime’s relationship show Let’s Talk when Ambassador Rev. Dr. Abbeam Danso boldly declared that women — not men — are the real initiators of sexual intercourse.

“There has never been a sexual intercourse that the approach is by a man. It is always by the woman,” he insisted, sparking gasps and debate among viewers.

According to him, this was how God designed it from the very beginning — women using their beauty to “seduce, capture and lure men.”

But that was just the beginning of his fiery remarks. Rev. Abbeam went on to warn women against pressuring men into marriage, saying that a long relationship or even having a child together does not guarantee commitment.

“Having a child with you doesn’t mean you qualify to be a wife,” he stated firmly.

He challenged women to be financially independent, arguing that men should not be the sole providers.

“As a woman, you should bring something to the table,” he said, adding that women who support their partners in projects leave men with no excuses to delay marriage.

Rev. Abbeam also criticised parents for neglecting their duty to guide their children’s relationships, accusing many of leaving their sons and daughters to “date blindly” without making proper inquiries.

On men’s intentions, he was blunt:

“Some men just want to keep you for sex because you’re attractive — not because they want to marry you.”

He further stressed that sex alone cannot sustain a relationship, warning that women who rely on it risk being disappointed.

To conclude, Rev. Abbeam laid down his formula for what makes a true wife: cleanliness, neatness, and personal growth.

“As a woman, what makes you a wife is how neat you are and how you keep your space clean. And you must also build your career,” he emphasized.

His comments have since sparked fierce debate on social media, with many questioning whether his views reflect reality or outdated stereotypes.

Let’s Talk airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Joy Prime, providing an open, non-judgmental platform for raw discussions on love, sex, and relationships.
