The Ministry of the Interior has declared Thursday, December 25, Friday, December 26, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026, as statutory public holidays.
In a statement issued to inform the general public, the Ministry said the dates mark Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day respectively, and should be observed as public holidays throughout the country.
The declaration means all three days are legally recognised as holidays in line with Ghana’s public holidays calendar, allowing workers and institutions across the country to observe the festive period accordingly.
The Ministry urged the public, businesses and institutions to take note of the dates and comply with the holiday arrangements nationwide.
