Interior Minister lauds NIA staff for dedication, pledges continued government support

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has praised the National Identification Authority (NIA) for what he described as its critical contribution to Ghana’s national development, urging staff to remain committed to the Authority’s mandate as the country advances its digital transformation agenda.

He was speaking at the NIA’s End-of-Year Carols Service held in Accra, where he commended management and staff for their dedication, resilience, and passion in delivering a system that underpins governance and service delivery across multiple sectors.

“The National Identification Authority continues to play a critical role in Ghana’s development architecture. Your work touches every sector such as security, social protection, financial services, digitalisation, health, and governance,” the Minister stated.

Mr. Mohammed-Mubarak assured the staff of the Ministry of the Interior’s unwavering support, noting that the government remains committed to strengthening the Authority to enable it to carry out its responsibilities effectively.

“As we stand at the threshold of a new year, I want to assure you that the Ministry of the Interior is more committed than ever to supporting you in this noble endeavour,” he said.

The Interior Minister also expressed optimism about the year ahead, describing it as one filled with promise for both the Authority and the country at large.

“The year ahead will be a good one. It will be a year of growth, a year of progress, and a year of triumph. I have faith in you, I have faith in the NIA, and I have faith in Ghana,” he added.

The End-of-Year Carols Service brought together staff of the Authority and stakeholders to reflect on the year’s achievements while celebrating the festive season in a spirit of gratitude and unity.
