Independent Candidates’ Nominations Open for 2024 General Elections

Accra, Ghana – The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced that nominations for independent candidates intending to contest the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections will be open from Monday, 9th September to Friday, 13th September 2024.

All prospective candidates are required to contact the Commission to obtain a passcode. This passcode will allow them to download the necessary Presidential and Parliamentary Nomination Forms from the Commission’s official website.

Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, emphasized the importance of adhering to the nomination schedule. “We urge the public to be guided accordingly,” he stated.

The Commission’s move aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the electoral process, providing an equal opportunity for all candidates, including independents, to participate in the upcoming elections.

For more details and to download the nomination forms, candidates should visit the Electoral Commission’s website.
