Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has expressed disappointment despite delivering a standout performance in his side’s 4-1 victory over Dreams FC on Sunday, May 18, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Opoku scored twice and provided an assist in the emphatic win, helping the Porcupine Warriors close the gap on Ghana Premier League leaders Nations FC.
However, the 26-year-old was far from satisfied with his performance, revealing he could have scored more.
“I’m not a happy man,” Opoku told the media after the match.
“I think I should have scored more. I was indecisive at times when I had chances, and the offside decisions against me really frustrated me.”
“I wasn’t pleased;I could’ve done better. I’ll work on checking my runs and improving my decision-making in the final third,” he added.
Since rejoining Kotoko in December 2024, Opoku has scored 10 goals in all competitions and remains a key figure in the club’s title ambitions.
