Former Education Minister and NPP flagbearer hopeful, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has reiterated his stance against the monetisation of politics, insisting that he does not believe in offering money to delegates to influence outcomes.
Meanwhile, Dr Adutwum said while he is committed to running a competitive campaign, he intends to raise funds transparently and ethically to support his bid in the January 31 primaries, he said on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday, January 17.
“I want that assumption to be erased from the minds of the people. Because when people give for t$t (transport fare), I will also give. We will raise the funds necessary to help secure the victory on January 31st because this country deserves it,” he said.
Dr Adutwum’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about party financing and its impact on national development.
