Ike City Group of Companies touches hearts at Dzorwulu Special School with compasionate donation

Ike City Group of Companies has extended vital support to Dzorwulu Special School, reinforcing the idea that corporate success is best measured by impact, not profit alone.

The donation exercise brought smiles, excitement and renewed hope to students and staff of the school. Items presented included bags of rice, toilet rolls, clothing and other essential supplies aimed at improving the daily welfare of the learners.

Members of the Ike City Group delegation were warmly received, with an atmosphere of gratitude and joy underscoring the significance of the gesture.

Speaking during the visit, the Chief Executive Officer of Ike City Group of Companies, Isaac Ofori Amoako, said the initiative was driven by empathy and a personal commitment to support vulnerable members of society.

Mr. Amoako also challenged other corporate institutions to make philanthropy a core part of their business philosophy, stressing that growth should go hand in hand with social responsibility. He noted that companies have a duty to uplift the communities within which they operate.

He highlighted the group’s diverse operations, including Ike City Hotel, Ike City Construction Company, Ike City Transportation and Ike City Restaurant, among others, reaffirming the company’s long-term commitment to community-centred development initiatives.

The Headmaster of Dzorwulu Special School, Fred Tetteh, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely support, describing it as a major boost to the school’s operations.

“As a government institution, we face resource constraints. We cannot rely solely on government support. Partnerships with private organisations like Ike City Group bring hope, dignity and happiness to our students and staff,” he said.

The visit ended on a symbolic and joyful note as students, staff and the Ike City Group delegation shared a meal together, an act that captured the spirit of inclusion, unity and compassion behind the donation.

For Dzorwulu Special School, the gesture went beyond material support; it was a reaffirmation that the children are seen, valued and embraced. For Ike City Group of Companies, the initiative stands as a reminder that compassion remains one of the strongest foundations on which any enduring organisation can be built.
