The International Community Schools achieved a milestone in graduating its class of 2025, as it climaxed its 25th anniversary with a grand durbar in Kumasi.

Founder of the International Community Schools, Dr. Charles Yeboah, emphasised the need for schools to foster community service and soft skills to prepare students to thrive in the outside world.

During the colourful event, Dr. Yeboah indicated that the decision to ensure the success of students lies with prioritising talent and character beyond academics.

At ICS, we make sure every child has the skills of adaptability, emotional intelligence, critical thinking skills and things that will sustain them over time.

“Our students are privileged. If we are going to build students who are ready for the world and can serve their country, we need the skills of giving back. Children must develop empathy, and what they can do to make society a better place,“ he said.

The event held at the Pakyi Campus of ICS brought together alumni, academicians, industry experts, parents, and current students under the theme, “ICS at 25: Honouring the past, embracing the future”.

The school presently boasts 2,400 learners with over 400 staff across its campuses in Kumasi and Accra, becoming the biggest international school in Ghana.

“Attaining 25 years is a remarkable feat. I would like to thank all stakeholders for their support and participation. Over the years, we have placed emphasis on educator talent development, as a response to our growth and in recent times, as a need to entrench educational best practices in Ghana. Hence, the establishment of an institute dedicated to professional development in all of Ghana. Our learners have also been accepted into top schools across the world,” Dr. Charles Yeboah said.

The event shed light on the exceptional achievement of students and staff for their dedication, effort and character.

Whilst exceptional students received prizes, the ceremony saw the class of 2025 successfully graduate from the school.

Principal, International Community Schools Ghana, Lucy Okinyo Ayodo, admonished the graduating class to tackle life in the outside world with integrity.

“The journey has seen trials, triumphs and transformation. As we reflect on our beginnings, we lift our hearts and say thanks be to God. We have gathered to celebrate the incredible school year and excellent results. One thing I want to leave with the graduating class is to live with integrity. Doing what is right even when no one is looking at you,” she said.
