Isaac Adongo

The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has said that he would have accepted a Deputy Ministerial position if it had been offered to him by President John Mahama.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Thursday, 27th February, Mr Adongo shared his expectations regarding a ministerial appointment in the new government.

“I was really expecting to be made a minister,” he stated. “However, the advisors of the President thought I was above the position of Deputy Minister, but I would have accepted the role if Prez John Mahama had offered it to me.”

His remarks suggest that while he had high expectations for a ministerial post, he remained open to serving in any capacity deemed appropriate by the President.

Mr Adongo’s comments have sparked discussions about the selection process for government appointments and the role of presidential advisors in shaping leadership decisions.

Despite not receiving a ministerial appointment, the Bolgatanga Central MP reaffirmed his commitment to supporting President Mahama’s administration.
