Health Minister reaffirms gov't commitment to expanding health facilities

The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has concluded a working visit to key health installations and traditional authorities in the Savannah Region, underscoring the government’s renewed commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure, service delivery, and resolving long-standing operational challenges in the sector.

In Damongo, the regional capital, the Minister inspected ongoing works at the Regional Hospital project. He assured stakeholders that construction will resume in early January.

He also expressed appreciation to traditional leaders for releasing 50 acres of land to support the development.

Mr Akandoh paid a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura at his palace, where the King honoured him with the title “Chief of Health” in recognition of his efforts to expand healthcare access nationwide.
