Tensions erupted at the St. Peter’s Society Methodist Church at Odorkor in the Ablekuma North constituency, disrupting the rerun process.

Reports indicate that chaos broke out after a group of unidentified macho men stormed the polling centre, resulting in an assault on former Awutu Senya East MP, Mavis Hawa Koomson.

Eyewitnesses reported that the men arrived in a coordinated manner in a pickup and on several motorbikes, causing panic among voters and electoral officials.

Despite a reinforced security presence deployed to maintain calm across the affected polling stations, the intervention proved unsuccessful.

Information gathered suggests that Hawa Koomson attempted to use pepper spray on the irate crowd, but she failed.

Although the cause of the assault remains unclear, a video intercepted by Adomonline.com captured Madam Koomson on the ground as some individuals rushed toward her.
