Christian Kwabena Andrews

The leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews has issued a stern warning to all individuals planning to engage in electoral malpractice in the upcoming elections, pronouncing seven curses on anyone who undermines the democratic process.

Addressing party members and the public, the GUM leader said that divine justice would punish those who tamper with the election results or manipulate the process for personal or political gain.

“These curses are not just threats,” he said. “They are warnings to all Ghanaians that there will be dire consequences for actions that rob the people of their democratic rights.”

The Seven Curses
1. Ballot Box Thieves: The leader declared that anyone who attempts to steal or tamper with ballot boxes to favor a particular party will face death. “Let no one dare steal the will of the people,” he said.

2. Multiple Voters: Individuals who vote more than once on election day were also warned. “Whoever votes multiple times should prepare to meet their end,” he cautioned.

3. Vote Counters Manipulating Results: Electoral officials who falsely transfer GUM votes to another party were warned of divine retribution.

“If you count GUM votes and assign them elsewhere, you will face death,” he pronounced.
4. EC Officials Altering Figures: Officials of the Electoral Commission who manipulate figures to favor any political party will suffer severe consequences. “God will cause them to rot from head to toe,” he said.

5. Party Leaders Influencing EC Officials: Politicians attempting to bribe or infiltrate the Electoral Commission to rig the system will face madness. “Anyone who tampers with the integrity of the EC will lose their sanity,” he warned.

6. Corrupt Politicians Using Stolen Funds: Politicians who use stolen public funds to influence voters will be struck with blindness, strokes, and heart attacks. “Ghana’s future cannot be bought with the people’s stolen wealth,” he added.

7. Security Forces Manipulating the System: Police and military personnel who use their positions to intimidate voters or manipulate the electoral process will suffer lifelong consequences. “Those who defend injustice will face the wrath of God,” he declared.

A Call for Integrity
The GUM leader emphasized that these warnings were meant to ensure a fair and transparent election.
He urged all stakeholders, including political parties, security forces, and electoral officials, to prioritize the nation’s interest over personal ambition.

“Let no one think they can escape accountability,” he said. “If you undermine Ghana’s democracy, you will pay dearly, not just to the law but to a higher power.”

GUM’s Vision for Change
The leader concluded by reiterating his call for Ghanaians to break away from the dominance of the NDC and NPP, whom he accused of plunging the country into hardship.

“This is the time for real change. GUM is the solution,” he affirmed, urging voters to reject corruption and embrace a new direction for Ghana.

As election day approaches, his message serves as a stark reminder of the stakes involved and the need for integrity in preserving the democratic process.
