Guinness Ghana has once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering youth through its Learning for Life program, with 210 trainees successfully graduating this year.

Notably, over 60 per cent of the graduates were female, reflecting the program’s ongoing efforts to promote gender inclusivity in skills development.

During the graduation ceremony, the CEO of the Youth Empowerment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, commended Guinness Ghana for equipping the youth with essential skills that will better position them for the future.

He also reassured the graduates that the Agency is dedicated to helping them secure meaningful employment following their training.

“Let me begin by extending our sincere gratitude to Guinness Ghana and the DIAGEO Group for their remarkable leadership and continued investment in the Learning for Life program.

“This initiative is a shining example of how private sector-led interventions can directly empower youth and build resilient industries,” he said.

The Managing Director of Guinness Ghana, Felicite Nson, highlighted the company’s global success in empowering youth through relevant skills training.

She emphasised the company’s efforts to reduce gender barriers, noting that the program has been designed to ensure equal opportunities for both men and women in the training sessions.

“Around the globe, this program has provided resources and skills to over 200,000 people, with at least half of them being women. By offering flexible schedules and making learning accessible, we have reduced barriers that often prevent women and underrepresented groups from acquiring the skills they need,” she stated.

In addition to the speeches, some of the trainees took the opportunity to share their experiences and express their gratitude for the opportunities the program has provided.

Many of them encouraged other youth to take advantage of similar training programs to build a brighter future.

Looking ahead, Guinness Ghana is eager to expand its reach and collaborate further to train more youth across the country, continuing to build a skilled, empowered workforce for the future.
