GPRTU Enforces Mandatory Use Of Face Mask At Lorry Station

Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has warned the general public to enforce mandatory use of face mask across the country to prevent the spontaneous spreading of the coronavirus pandemic.

In an interview, the Public Relation Officer of the Union, Mr. Ibrahim Abbas Moro, said ‘’public transport in our cities are highly vulnerable to this coronavirus pandemic’’.

‘’ However, public transport is the livelihood of our cities, so it is necessary to adhere to this simply rules to help avoid contamination of the virus’’.

He charged the drivers to enforce the law to disallow passengers who will prove adamant to adhere to the directives.
He also urged the drivers not to take passengers beyond the required directives by the GPRTU.

The PRO said the pandemic has shaken the foundation of the globe and all businesses has come to a standstill, therefore the Union is working around the clock to liaise with the government to reduce prices of fuel to make life bearable for both drivers and passengers.

Mr. Abbas Moro pleaded with the passengers to place their health and safety above all other things to go by the directive in these abnormal times.
