Hohoe United recorded their first win of the season in emphatic fashion, thrashing Karela United 4-1 at the Hohoe Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts were clinical this time around, taking their chances early with first-half goals from William Oduro and captain Usman Sufianu.
Karela United started the second half strongly and were rewarded with a penalty in the 75th minute, which Bless Ege converted to give his side a lifeline.
However, Sufianu restored Hohoe United’s two-goal lead with his second of the match before Sena Ati sealed the victory with a fine strike in the 88th minute.
The result ends Karela’s unbeaten start to the season, while Hohoe United will hope to build on this impressive win when they face Nations FC next.
Karela, on the other hand, will look to bounce back when they host Dreams FC.
