Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito is warning his players against getting complacent, which could be “dangerous,” ahead of their outstanding fixture against Vision FC in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday, November 12.
The Porcupines face Vision in Tema, a side they lost to – their only league defeat under coach Zito.
The fixture was originally set for Matchday seven but had to be postponed following Kotoko’s then involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko are unbeaten in Ghana’s top flight this season, with their latest positive coming from the 1-0 victory over rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
“We’ve just left it [Hearts’ victory] after the game,” Zito told the club’s media.
“Myself as a legend, I know [complacency] and it’s very dangerous. We do challenge or warn our players to go out of complacency.
“The attitude is to come here [Tema] and come for our three points.”
Victory for Kotoko could propel them into the top four on the standings – with two more outstanding fixtures.
