Legal Advisor to President John Mahama, Marietta Brew, has urged recent graduates of the Marshalls University College in Accra to give back to society, as that is important in creating positive influences in communities.
Ms Brew, who was speaking as the guest of honour at the 8th Graduation and 12th Matriculation Convocation Ceremony of the University, underscored the importance of giving back to society.
The former Attorney General added, “giving back is not necessarily on material terms, but knowledge, expertise, and ideas to better society and shape local communities.’
“Let the wider community, your family, your workplace and the nation as a whole, benefit from what you have achieved”, Ms Brew added.
She asked the graduates and the new students to always exhibit principles that are morally accepted and embraced by all persons of good character.
“As you go out there, remember there are certain principles you need to live by; honesty is very important, integrity, and humility are key.” Ms Brew noted.
She added, “One little mistake can take you back many years. Relate well to your colleagues, just so when you fall into difficulties, they can lift you to a point.”

The graduation
The 8th Graduation Ceremony celebrated achieving graduates and welcomed new scholars into the Marshalls family.
