Ghanaian multi-disciplinary creative Kofi Boachie-Ansah II, popularly known as Beatmenace, has received official recognition from the Grammy Awards for his role as a Contributor and Guest Artist on Antonio Vergara’s album The Fury.

The album was nominated in the Best Contemporary Blues Album category at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on 2nd February 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Reacting to the news, Boachie-Ansah, popularly known as BeatMenace, expressed his gratitude on social media.

He added that the nomination reflected the “collective passion, soul, and commitment of his and every musician, producer, and engineer” involved in the making of The Fury. 

He extended his congratulations to all contributors, stating it was a privilege to work with such remarkable talents, and also thanked Vergara for his trust and vision in including him on the project.

In the same post, Boachie-Ansah commended all Grammy nominees and winners for advancing culture, and welcomed the Recording Academy’s 2025 New Member Class, urging them to bring their voices and stories to the fore.

“Still taking this in. I’m honoured to have been a Contributor/ Guest Artist on the album The Fury by the indefatigable, brilliant Antonio Vergara… nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 67th Annual @RecordingAcad GRAMMY Awards,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on 10 July 2025.

“Warm congratulations as well to all of the nominees and winners, your work continues to move culture forward. And a heartfelt welcome and congratulations to the new members of the @recordingacademy 2025 New Member Class, we need your voices, your stories, your brilliance now more than ever,” he added.

Boachie-Ansah was part of the Recording Academy’s 2024 Voting Member Class, a distinction he described as a privilege, allowing him to join a global community of creative professionals advocating for music. In Ghana, he has served as a Board Member of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. 

Aside from his music credits, he is the Creative Services Executive at BlendedArts Limited, and a passionate advocate for sustainable frameworks in Ghana’s and Africa’s broader arts industry.

With close to two decades of experience across music, fine art, design, film, tech and law, Kofi’s work focuses on economic empowerment, policy advocacy, and ecosystem development within Africa’s creative and entertainment sectors. 

He has also contributed to independent films, television series, and collaborated with artistes across a range of genres, offering skills in music production, songwriting, audio engineering, and beyond.
