Ghanaian students now have a new opportunity to study in Germany and access top global careers, thanks to a partnership between Nexford University and Constructor University.

The new programme, starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, allows students to begin their studies online with Nexford University and later move to Constructor University’s campus in Bremen, Germany. This creates a smooth and affordable path to international degrees and job opportunities in Europe.

Constructor University is a top private university in Germany, known for its focus on technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Nexford University is an American online university offering affordable, career-focused education.

Students in the programme can complete up to 50% of their degree online before transferring to Germany to gain practical experience and build professional networks in Europe.

Postgraduate students may also earn dual master’s degrees recognised by both institutions.

“Many talented Ghanaian students find their global education dreams limited by high costs and complex visa processes,” said Fadl Al Tarzi, CEO of Nexford University.

He said the partnership gives students the chance to start their education in Ghana and move to Germany later, making it easier to access international learning and job opportunities without the heavy initial cost of relocating.

“Our partnership allows students to begin building their future in Ghana and transition to Germany when they are ready, opening access to global education and career opportunities without facing the high upfront costs of moving abroad.”

Germany is currently facing a skills shortage, with over 209,000 jobs unfilled in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. By 2035, the country expects to need seven million more skilled workers. Constructor University graduates can apply for an 18-month work visa in Germany after graduation.

Currently, 78% of Constructor graduates work across Europe, and 70% find jobs after finishing school.

Students from Ghana will also benefit from lower costs. They will start their studies with Nexford’s affordable tuition from home and qualify for scholarships when they move to Germany.

“By combining Constructor University’s on-campus education with Nexford’s online expertise, we have designed a unique programme that offers flexibility, learning, and employment opportunities at an affordable rate,” said Turgut Tülü, Chancellor of Constructor University.

He said the programme aims to prepare Ghanaian youth for international careers, help them grow global businesses, and return with skills that will strengthen the local economy.

“This programme aligns with Constructor University’s mission to cement Bremen’s status as a hub for global talent, offering students top-edge skills, high-performing programmes and an innovative approach to education across all disciplines.”
