Ghanaian Players Abroad: Samed hits century of Ligue 1 games as Baidoo continues good form

Ghanaian players across Europe returned to competitive action over the weekend after the international break. Some of them were key for their clubs with goals, assists and clean sheets.

Here is a wrap of their performances:

Mohammed Kudus made his return from injury and lasted 78 minutes in Tottenham’s 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.

Forward Antoine Semenyo missed Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw against West Ham because of an injury that also forced him to leave Ghana’s camp before the defeat to South Korea.

In the Championship, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku provided his fourth assist to help Leicester City win 2-1 against Stoke City, taking his tally to three goals and four assists in 16 league matches. Jordan Ayew was an unused substitute.

In Spain, Thomas Partey was outstanding for Villarreal in a 2-1 win over Mallorca in their LaLiga match.
