Divine Mission Academy celebrated its Junior High School graduates this week with a vibrant blend of academic ceremony and rich cultural heritage.
The event in Ejisu-Donaso saw students advancing to new educational stages honoured alongside the Class of 2025, all framed by a dynamic display of Ghanaian traditions.
The school grounds pulsed with rhythm as students transformed into living representations of the nation’s diverse ethnic groups. Drums echoed while colourful kente cloth swirled during traditional dances, from the elegance of Asante performances to the energetic steps originating in Northern Ghana.
Poetry recitations in both English and local tongues echoed themes of unity, resilience, and deep pride in ancestral roots, reminding everyone that true education encompasses knowing one’s heritage.

“Our mission blends academic excellence with fostering cultural pride and unity,” explained Dr. Godfred Aawaar, Head of School. “Witnessing our students confidently embrace their heritage while preparing for their futures is profoundly inspiring.”
Special guest Rev. Ebow Esseku opened the festivities with prayer, blessing the occasion, and later offered closing words of gratitude and encouragement, reinforcing themes of community and faith.
Parents and elders expressed deep appreciation for the event’s power to bridge generations. Many felt such celebrations are crucial anchors, helping youth stay connected to foundational values in a fast-changing world.

Teachers shared the joy of seeing students thrive academically while developing genuine respect for cultural diversity.

As formal graduation rites seamlessly transitioned into exuberant cultural displays, the day proved far more than a simple ceremony.
It stood as a powerful affirmation of identity. Divine Mission Academy demonstrated its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals: students equipped for academic success who also stand as proud custodians of Ghana’s legacy.
The event concluded with resounding applause and warm embraces, a community united in celebrating both achievement and enduring tradition.
For the graduates and pupils moving forward, this fusion of accomplishment and cultural vibrancy promises to be a cherished memory, a guiding light showing how tradition illuminates the path ahead.
