Ghana has marked the 2026 Commonwealth Day with a flag-raising ceremony at the forecourt of the State House, joining member states across the Commonwealth of Nations to commemorate the annual observance.

The event, held on Monday, March 9, was organised under the theme “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” which calls for stronger collaboration, innovation and solidarity among member states to address global challenges and expand opportunities for economic growth, sustainable development and youth empowerment.
