
Head coach of the Sudan national team, Kwasi Appiah has been nominated for the Ghana Football Awards.
He faces competition from former Black Stars teammate Frimpong Manso, Nations F.C. coach Kassim Ocansey and Golden Kicks gaffer, Fiifi Parker-Hanson.
Kwasi Appiah led Sudan’s qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
He has also kept Sudan within touching distance of World Cup qualification, having amassed 12 points from six games, one fewer than Group B leaders, D.R. Congo.
Frimpong Manso, head coach of Gold Stars, has led the Miners’ chase for a first Ghana Premier League title. Gold Stars are currently top of the league with 60 points, with one match to end the season.
Kassim Ocansey, coach of Nations F.C. has also been recognised. As head coach of Nations F.C., he led the team to the brink of a debut league title, sharing the summit with Gold Stars on 60 points.
Fiifi Parker-Hanson completes the list of nominees, having guided Golden Kicks to the final of this year’s FA Cup. He is the first coach to have led a Division One League side to the final since 2016.
The Ghana Football Awards will be held on June 14, 2025 at the Grand Arena – Accra International Conference Center.
