President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to an ambitious industrialisation agenda anchored on technology, innovation, and enterprise.
Speaking in Beijing as part of his official visit to participate in the Presidential Investment Forum in China, Mr Mahama said: “We are determined to industrialise our economy, expand value-added exports, and empower our citizens through technology and enterprise.”
He explained that the industrialisation drive is central to his government’s Reset Agenda, which seeks to build an inclusive and sustainable economy.
“Our Reset Agenda is rooted in the conviction that every Ghanaian must have a stake in our national prosperity,” he stated.
Mr Mahama noted that industrialisation remains a critical pillar of Ghana’s long-term development strategy and emphasised the importance of partnerships to accelerate progress.
“On this journey, we extend our open hand of partnership with our friends in China. We want to walk with you as we build the future of shared progress and shared prosperity for our peoples,” he said.
The President commended China’s rapid industrial advancement and expressed optimism that Ghana could draw valuable lessons from the Asian powerhouse’s experience.
Mr Mahama’s visit to Beijing forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and attract strategic investments to boost Ghana’s industrial and technological transformation.
