The Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched a nationwide survey to gather public opinions on the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy and the Double Track System.

The survey, announced on GES’s official Facebook page on Saturday, February 22, 2025, seeks to assess the impact of these policies and identify challenges affecting students, parents, and teachers.

According to the post, the survey aims to determine how well Ghanaians understand Free SHS and the Double Track System, whether the policies have been beneficial or challenging, and what improvements may be needed.

It invites responses from students, parents, teachers, and the general public. Participants are expected to share their experiences, rate their level of satisfaction, and suggest possible changes.

The announcement comes at a time when the National Education Forum is reviewing the country’s education system.

The forum, which began on February 18, 2025, in Ho, Volta Region, has brought together education experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President John Dramani Mahama described the forum as “a non-partisan platform to bring together stakeholders from various sectors to evaluate our education system and recommend solutions.”

GES indicated in its post that feedback from the survey would be analysed and used to inform discussions at the forum. It said the responses would contribute to shaping future education policies.

Ghanaians who wish to participate in the survey can access it through the GES website and its official social media pages.
