The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced the release of appointment letters to the first batch of successful applicants for its 2025/2026 recruitment exercise.

According to a statement shared on the Armed Forces’ official Facebook page on Wednesday, March 18, a total of 2,000 applicants have been selected for this phase after successfully navigating a rigorous and multi-stage recruitment process that began on November 6, 2025.

The candidates are expected to report to their respective training centres on Friday, March 27, 2026, to commence the next stage of their military training.

The recruitment exercise involved a comprehensive assessment designed to ensure that only qualified and capable individuals are enlisted into the military.

Applicants underwent a series of screening stages, including documentation checks, body selection, aptitude tests, medical examinations, and security vetting.

Military authorities noted that the process reflects the Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness.

In a significant departure from previous recruitment exercises, the GAF adopted a decentralised approach to the distribution of appointment letters. Successful candidates received their letters across all 16 regional capitals, rather than travelling to a central location.

The new system is intended to ease logistical burdens on applicants by reducing congestion, travel costs, and administrative delays.

Selected recruits have been instructed to report promptly to their assigned training centres on the specified date.

Authorities have emphasised that strict adherence to reporting timelines and instructions is mandatory, warning that failure to comply could result in disqualification.
