With the English summer transfer window closing on Friday, August 30, at 10:00 PM GMT, Fulham FC has reportedly entered the race to acquire Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah.
According to The Athletic, the London-based club is eager to secure the 20-year-old’s services before the deadline.
Nuamah, who recently completed a €28.5 million permanent transfer to Olympique Lyonnais from Belgian club RWD Molenbeek, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Nuamah’s impressive stint on loan with Lyon last season, where he scored seven goals and provided three assists in 39 appearances, has heightened his profile as a highly sought-after talent.
Fulham’s head coach Marco Silva, who missed out on signing Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, has identified Nuamah as a critical target. Given Lyon’s current financial challenges, the French club is reportedly open to selling Nuamah for approximately €30 million.
Nuamah has featured in both of Lyon’s Ligue 1 matches this season, and his potential departure would represent a notable setback for the French side.
As the transfer window nears its end, Fulham will be working to finalize a deal that could strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
