From Ghana to Africa: Orient Property Consulting expands real estate career development drive

Orient Property Consulting, a leading Ghanaian real estate consultancy, is making significant strides in shaping the future of the continent’s property market by expanding its flagship career development programme, the Career Launch Pad, beyond Ghana.

This move addresses the critical need to prepare Africa’s burgeoning youth population for the dynamic and evolving real estate sector of the 21st century.

The 2025 edition of the Career Launch Pad was hosted virtually in partnership with the prestigious Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Under the theme “Green, Smart and Inclusive: Building Careers in the Future of Real Estate,” the event attracted high-level speakers and panelists from across Africa, providing invaluable mentorship to the next generation of real estate professionals.

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice

Commenting on the initiatives, the Managing Director of Orient Property Consulting, Mr. Isaac Dwimoh-Opoku, emphasized that the programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the industry.

“This is not just about jobs,” Mr. Dwimoh-Opoku explained. “It’s about strategically equipping young people with the tools to become industry leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. We are investing in the minds that will define Africa’s urban future.”

Participants were immersed in cutting-edge topics such as Property Technology (PropTech), sustainable design, and green construction—areas identified as crucial for the sustainable development of Africa’s urban landscapes.

Supporting UPSA 1000 entrepreneurs

Orient’s commitment to youth development is not limited to the continental stage. The company has also been a strong supporter of the UPSA 1000 Project, an initiative by the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), aimed at grooming 1,000 new entrepreneurs annually.

Mr. Dwimoh-Opoku served as a lead entrepreneur speaker and a mentor for the project, reinforcing his company’s belief that the youth must be empowered to create enterprises, not just seek employment.

Rewarding student excellence

Further cementing its dedication to academic excellence, Orient Property Consulting has introduced a special award scheme for UPSA’s Best Graduating Student in Real Estate Finance and Management (Class of 2025). This award is designed to reward dedication and integrity in academic pursuit, laying a strong foundation for a successful professional life.

Participants Hail “Eye-Opening” Initiative

The impact of these initiatives is already being felt. Graduates from across the continent took to professional networking sites like LinkedIn to share their experiences, with many describing the Career Launch Pad as “eye-opening” and a unique opportunity to “appreciate the broader outlook of the industry.”

By combining the continental Career Launch Pad, local UPSA mentorship, and academic awards, Orient Property Consulting is building a comprehensive model for professional growth. As the real estate sector grows in size and complexity, the company’s focused investment in youth empowerment signals a deliberate attempt to build not just a business, but a legacy—cultivating a skilled workforce capable of transforming lives and landscapes across Africa.
