She lived in a container—not a metaphor, a real one. Metal walls that scorched in the day and froze at night. Yet, inside that small, confined space, dreams grew.
Her name is Eleanor Ayaovi, a project management strategist and event architect. But to her parents, she was always Eyram—the girl who dared to dream in colour even when life was painted in shades of struggle.
In a moving post on LinkedIn, Eleanor shared her journey, weaving it into a heartfelt poem titled “She Called Me Eyram.”
“I lived in a container. Not a metaphor, a real one. Metal walls, hot in the day, cold at night—but somehow, dreams found a way to grow there.”

That container was home all through university. After lectures, while other students rested, she returned to knead bread with her parents. Bread had to be ready by morning.
Her mother’s words became a mantra:
“Eyram, we don’t have anyone. No uncle with connections, no auntie with an envelope. You will have to make something of yourself.”
And so, she did.
From Executive Assistant to Project Officer, Eleanor moved forward with fear—but also with fire. When dreams scared her, she didn’t shrink. She worked through the shaking.

She never imagined those steps would one day lead to the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, or the Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network.
“Me? Eyram from the container?” she wrote.
Recently, Eleanor successfully hosted HR Tech Playground, an innovative HR technology event. But for her, it was not just an event—it was proof that seeds can break through concrete.
“When people like James Laar believed, when L’AINE HR stood behind me, I realized God was writing a story even when I could barely hold the pen. I bless the Lord, oh my soul. This is not just my win. It’s my becoming.”
Eleanor’s story is a reminder that resilience and faith can turn the smallest beginnings into global opportunities. Her journey from a container to commanding rooms with global leaders is more than inspiration—it’s a challenge to anyone who has ever doubted their own light.
