Myjoyonline sources at the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) have confirmed that former Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) CEO, Edwin Provencal, is in their custody and remains under investigation.
According to the sources, Provencal was apprehended at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Monday, November 10, while attempting to board a flight to Maputo, Mozambique, without obtaining the required authorisation.
The arrest comes amid heightened scrutiny of BOST’s operations, with the government emphasising accountability and transparency in state-owned enterprises.
During his tenure, Provencal oversaw key aspects of Ghana’s fuel supply and storage infrastructure.
The EOCO sources further indicated that officials intercepted him to ensure that the ongoing probe was not compromised, although they did not provide additional details on the nature of the investigation.
