FirstBank Ghana will partner the 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF), an international entrepreneurship gathering scheduled to take place in Accra from 21 to 23 November at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel & Resort.
The festival, held during Global Entrepreneurship Week, is expected to draw about 10,000 in-person participants and reach over 10 million virtual viewers.
Organisers say more than 60 speakers and 100 exhibitors from at least 70 countries will take part.
This year’s event will focus on the theme “The AI-Powered Entrepreneur: Creating a Sustainable Planet,” examining how artificial intelligence is changing business models and the future of work. Discussions will centre on technology adoption, investment opportunities, and the challenges facing entrepreneurs across Africa and beyond.
FirstBank Ghana’s Managing Director, Victor Yaw Asante, said the partnership reflects the bank’s interest in entrepreneurship and SME development. He noted that tools driven by artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly important for businesses seeking to grow and compete.
Ghana was confirmed as host nation following an earlier announcement by President John Dramani Mahama, who declared the country ready to welcome global investors, innovators, policymakers and business leaders.
GEF officials say the event is intended to create a space for collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors and institutions. Dr Joy Francis, Director of Partnerships for GEF, said the festival aims to support innovation and expand opportunities for enterprise development.
The three-day programme will include a trade fair, robotics and innovation exhibitions, a women’s congress, hackathons, business forums, awards ceremonies, arts showcases and a closing concert.
The festival is expected to highlight Ghana’s expanding entrepreneurship landscape and offer deal-making platforms for start-ups and established businesses.
