A fire engulfed part of a residential apartment in Nsukwao, near the Safe Gold Hotel in Koforidua, on Wednesd, October 8 prompting an immediate response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
According a Facebook post shared by the GNFS, the Municipal Fire Station received a distress call at exactly 10:19am and swiftly dispatched a fire tender to the location. A crew of eight firefighters arrived within minutes to tackle the blaze.

The fire, which engulfed one room in a seven-bedroom apartment, caused partial structural damage and destroyed the personal belongings of the affected occupant.

Fortunately, the flames were successfully contained to the single room, preventing further destruction to the rest of the property.
Firefighters brought the situation under control and completely extinguished the blaze by 10:40am.

The GNFS noted that, no injuries were reported, and investigations are currently underway to ascertain the cause of the outbreak.
