Fidelity Bank's Orange Inspire Masterclass empowers new generation of creative entrepreneurs

Fidelity Bank Ghana, in partnership with Jambo Spaces, has successfully organised the first edition of the Orange Inspire Masterclass and the closing ceremony for its Creative Challenge Incubator.

The event, held on August 15, 2025, at the ALX E-Hub, brought together over 100 participants from across the creative and business sectors, reinforcing the transformative potential of Ghana’s burgeoning creative economy.

The Orange Inspire program, an initiative under Fidelity Bank’s Young Entrepreneurs Initiative (FYEI), is designed to equip creative entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to thrive in the fast-evolving creator economy.

Following a rigorous selection process that attracted over 470 applications, 24 outstanding participants were shortlisted for incubation, where they received mentorship in business development, brand positioning, and market readiness over the past several months.

The culmination of this incubation program was celebrated with a three-hour Orange Inspire Masterclass, which extended the program’s impact to a wider audience.

The masterclass featured leading voices in the creative and business space, including Apiorkor S. Ashong-Abbey (Poet, Author, Media Practitioner and Creative Entrepreneur), Nana Kofi Asihene (Video Director, Creative Consultant, Film Producer and Film Maker), Patty The Strategist ( A Business Coach), Stephen Adomko (Entrepreneur Development Manager, ALX Ventures), and Bernard Kafui Sokpe (Co-founder of Jambo Spaces).

Together, they provided practical tools and strategies on branding, monetisation, and positioning for success in the creators’ economy.

Nana Yaa Afriyie Ofori-Koree, Head of Partnerships, Sustainability, and CSR at Fidelity Bank, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative.

“Fidelity Bank is deeply committed to youth empowerment and local economic growth,” she said.

“Through our Fidelity Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, we saw the need for a dedicated fund to support the Orange Economy. This fund opens doors to finance, markets, information, and knowledge, helping young creatives shape the future of Ghana’s economy.”

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Tahidu Damba, Secretary-General of the Ghana Commission for UNESCO, commended Fidelity Bank for its forward-looking vision.

“It is refreshing to see young men and women harness their talents in ways that contribute to national development.

“The creative industry is no longer on the margins; it is taking centre stage as a driver of sustainable growth.

“Initiatives like Fidelity Bank’s Orange Inspire are not just building entrepreneurs, but employers, shaping an economy rooted in innovation, cultural heritage, and global competitiveness,” he said.

He further highlighted the role of creative industries in aligning with Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda, noting that “creativity and cultural innovation hold the key to creating context-specific solutions and positioning Ghana as a leader in the global creative economy.”

The excitement is set to continue as the 24 incubator participants will proceed to a pitch session, where their projects will be further evaluated.

The journey will culminate on August 27th at the bank’s Sustainability Conference, where five finalists will be selected to receive a portion of the total GH¢450,000 funding.

With grant funding poised to fuel the brightest ideas, the upcoming pitch session marks a defining moment.

“We’re eager to witness the creativity and ambition of these young entrepreneurs as we select the top five,” said Nana Yaa Afriyie Ofori-Koree.

“This is more than a competition—it’s a launchpad for the next generation of changemakers shaping Ghana’s creative economy.
