Fidelity Bank Ghana has commissioned the first projects of its ongoing Orange Impact Initiative in 2025.

This has brought transformative change to Techiman Baptist School in the Bono East Region and Pakyi Banko Basic School in the Ashanti Region, heralding a new era of educational excellence for over 500 students combined.

Just days apart, these two schools, serving as beacons of hope in their respective communities, have become the latest beneficiaries of Fidelity Bank’s flagship program, designed to uplift and empower young learners through improved educational infrastructure.

At Techiman Baptist School, Fidelity Bank delivered a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul, including a 1-storey Junior High School (JHS) block with a teachers’ office, alongside a refurbishment of the existing 6-unit classroom block and washroom facilities.

This intervention will serve 248 students and 22 teachers, providing them with a safer, healthier, and more conducive learning environment.

Just two days later, Fidelity Bank extended its impact to Pakyi Banko Basic School, where it commissioned a brand-new 3-unit classroom block, a dedicated teachers’ office, and a storeroom, as well as the refurbishment of the existing 3-unit classroom block.

“We are thrilled to begin 2025 by empowering these two schools,” said Julian Opuni, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank.

“Fidelity Bank’s journey over the past 18 years, beyond its financial success, has been about empowering our communities.

“Our Orange Impact Initiative, which began as part of our 15th-anniversary celebration, has already transformed many schools across Ghana and is still counting.”

He further added “the projects at Techiman Baptist School and Pakyi Banko Basic School mark another significant milestone in our mission to provide quality education to the underserved.

“We remain committed to investing in the future of our nation by ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive in a conducive environment.”

Madam Sophia Tenkorang Mensah, the headmistress of Techiman Baptist School, expressed her gratitude: “This is a momentous occasion for our school. We are immensely grateful to Fidelity Bank for their generosity and vision.

“For years, our students have struggled with inadequate facilities. Today, Fidelity Bank has given us a new beginning.

“This modern JHS block and refurbished classrooms will not only improve academic performance but also restore pride and dignity to our school. We are deeply grateful for this transformative gift.”

Dr. William Kwame Amankra-Appiah (Ashanti Regional Director of Education, praised the initiative: “Fidelity Bank’s intervention at Pakyi Banko Basic School is a shining example of how public-private partnerships can drive educational development.

“This project will not only improve learning outcomes but also motivate teachers and students to strive for excellence.”

Techiman Baptist School and Pakyi Banko Basic School join a growing list of beneficiaries under Fidelity Bank’s Orange Impact Initiative.

Over the years, seven other schools have experienced similar transformations, including Duose D/A Primary School, Mamprobi Ebenezer 4, Okogyeasuo M/A Basic School, Fodome Kordzeto M/A Primary & JHS, Nyameyekrom M/A KG and Primary School, AbbeyKorpe School, and Accra Royal JHS.

The Orange Impact Initiative continues to evolve, addressing the critical needs of under-resourced schools by providing tailored support that ranges from classroom construction to comprehensive refurbishments.

By investing in education, Fidelity Bank not only builds stronger communities but also lays the foundation for a brighter, more prosperous future for Ghana.
