The Ennobled Foundation Ghana held a recent webinar on Sunday, March 8, 2026, to mark International Women’s Day under the theme “Give to Gain.”

The theme “Give to Gain” highlights the idea that when individuals invest time, knowledge, and support in others, through mentorship, guidance, and collaboration, they also create opportunities for personal growth and collective progress.

Speakers included the Foundation’s founder, Mrs. Gloria Boye-Doku, Senior journalist with JoyNews, Maame Esi Nyamekye Thompson; and Corporate Relationship Manager, Vanessa Pamela Monney.

Founder of the Ennobled Foundation, Mrs. Gloria Boye-Doku, emphasised the role mentorship plays in personal and professional growth. She noted that individuals need mentors at different stages of their lives to guide and support their development. She also encouraged mentees to show commitment and maintain good character, explaining that mentors often have many responsibilities and therefore expect dedication from those they support.

Mrs. Boye-Doku explained that the principle of “Give to Gain” has been a defining part of her career journey. According to her, she focused on giving her best through commitment, willingness to learn, and supporting the teams she worked with rather than concentrating on what she would gain. She said that mindset eventually created opportunities for growth and leadership. She added that individuals should approach their work with excellence and remain open to learning from others.

Senior journalist with JoyNews, Maame Esi Nyamekye Thompson, also highlighted the importance of mentorship in shaping careers. She said many professionals would not reach their current positions without guidance from others. Thompson expressed appreciation for the people who supported her throughout her career journey and acknowledged the role mentorship plays in helping individuals grow and navigate challenges. Leadership is often revealed during challenging times, she said.

The webinar formed part of the Foundation’s activities to mark International Women’s Day and to promote mentorship and leadership among women and young professionals. Speakers encouraged participants to seek guidance, support others, and use mentorship as a tool for growth and development, noting that investing time in mentoring others can shape careers and create opportunities for future leaders.
