Engage Now Africa Commissions Maternal and Child Healthcare Facility at Juapong

Engage Now Africa (ENA) has officially commissioned a state-of-the-art maternal and child healthcare facility at Juapong in the Eastern Region, marking a significant step towards improving maternal and child health in the area.

The facility, which aims to reduce preventable deaths and improve access to quality healthcare for women and children, was made possible through strong partnerships and collaborative efforts between stakeholders, including the Marriott Sisters Foundation, government officials, local leaders, and the community.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Cecilia Amankwah, African Director of Engage Now Africa, described the event as more than just the opening of a building.

“Today, we do more than open a building, we make a bold statement about the future we want for our mothers, our children, and our communities,” she said.

“Engage Now Africa exists to heal, rescue, and uplift. We believe that when a mother is safe, a family is secure. When a child is healthy, a community is strong. And when families thrive, nations prosper,” she stated.

According to her, the maternal and child healthcare facility represents a vital investment not only in healthcare but also in development and the future of the community.

“This maternal and child healthcare facility is therefore not just an investment in healthcare, it is an investment in the very foundation of development,” Amankwah added.

Highlighting the collective nature of the initiative, Amankwah stressed that the collaboration was central to achieving the shared goal of a healthier, more equitable society.

“Together, we are actively shaping a future in which preventable deaths are significantly reduced, women can safely and with dignity give birth, and every child is given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential,” she remarked.

The opening of the facility is expected to significantly improve maternal and child health services in the region, bringing quality care closer to the people and reinforcing the belief that sustainable development begins with strong, healthy families.
