ECOM Ghana’s Sustainable Management Services (SMS) has renovated the Brodekwano Methodist Basic School in Ashanti Region’s Bosomtwe District, donating over 1,500 educational resources to support rural education.
According to company statements, the initiative targets cocoa-growing communities where educational infrastructure gaps persist.
New NaCCA-approved textbooks, writing materials, wall clocks, and recycled plastic desks replaced inadequate furniture. Students confirmed previous shortages hindered learning, expressing visible excitement during the handover ceremony. Acting SMS General Manager Emmanuel Baffoe-Bonnie stated, “Education is every child’s backbone,” reaffirming ECOM’s commitment to future community development.

Baffoe-Bonnie concurrently urged cocoa farmers to adopt environmental safeguards, including proper chemical-container disposal and tree planting for climate resilience. Brodekwano Krontihene Nana Owusu Achiaw and Circuit SISO Agovor Gifty endorsed the project’s impact, urging students to leverage improved conditions for academic excellence.
The upgrade aligns with ECOM Ghana’s broader mission to enhance sustainable development in agricultural regions. No future projects were disclosed, but company officials emphasized ongoing prioritization of educational equity.
