Electoral Commission Issues Guidelines for Independent Candidates to Collect Passwords
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has issued a press release dated 2nd August, 2024, outlining the procedure for prospective independent candidates to collect the necessary passwords for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. This directive is aimed at ensuring that all candidates can efficiently access and download the Nomination Forms from the EC’s website.
According to the EC, candidates or their representatives need to submit a Letter of Introduction addressed to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission. This step is crucial for the collection of the passwords at the Head Office of the Electoral Commission. The Nomination Forms, which are vital for the candidacy process, are available for download at EC Forms.
The EC has designated Mr. Samuel Dottoh Kwaah, Deputy Director of Electoral Services, as the point of contact for any further assistance needed by the candidates or their representatives.
This announcement is part of the EC’s ongoing efforts to maintain transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process. The public and all stakeholders are urged to take note and comply with the outlined procedures.
