
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2024 elections, has reiterated his dedication to promoting unity and harmony among Ghanaians, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
During a meeting with Islamic clergy in the Ashanti Region on Saturday, 30 November, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, commonly known as ‘Napo,’ reaffirmed the party’s vision for a united Ghana under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He underscored the NPP’s commitment to a diverse society, where hard work and competence remain central to progress.
“With Insha Allah, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will become Ghana’s first Muslim President, leading a transformative agenda for the country,” he declared.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that Ghana’s path to development hinges on its ability to overcome divisions. He highlighted that the NPP’s consistent promotion of national unity, as exemplified by its presidential ticket, makes the party the ideal choice for the upcoming elections.
“A vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a vote for unity, inclusiveness, and development,” he affirmed, urging Ghanaians to back the NPP’s vision of “Bold Solutions for Our Future.”
Dr. Opoku Prempeh had previously engaged with Christian leaders in the Ashanti Region and is scheduled to meet with other key stakeholders as part of the NPP’s campaign strategy.
